The "charged" three-door hatchback of the first generation Honda Civic was first shown to the public in 1997. It was then that this Japanese golf car tried on the proudly sounding Type R prefix to its name. Production of the car lasted until 2000, after which the second generation of the “hot” Civic entered the market.
